Throughout my career, I have gained invaluable experience in research, education, and clinical work, earning numerous awards along the way. My family, particularly my husband and my mother, have been pillars of support during the most challenging times. One of the hardest moments was leaving my two-month-old baby in Oman to continue my fellowship abroad. The guilt and pain were overwhelming, but my mother’s constant reassurance gave me the strength to carry on. Looking back, I realize that pushing myself beyond my limits was not the answer, and I would never encourage another mother to make that sacrifice.
Upon returning to Oman after my training abroad, I felt an immense pride in being part of our healthcare system. With nine years of experience in the UK’s NHS, I can confidently say that Oman’s healthcare system is comparable, despite the complexity of involving multiple stakeholders. Our system provides trusted services and manages the treatment and care of our community effectively.
Today, I am committed to collaborating with my colleagues to elevate the private healthcare sector and improve patient outcomes. My dream is to see Oman leading the region and the world in healthcare services, a vision that will be realized through the advancement of technology and digital innovation .
