A Journey of Dedication, Growth, & Vision

I come from a large and loving family, being the eldest of 11 siblings, with 4 brothers and 6 sisters. From a very early age, I embraced the responsibility of caring for my grandparents and assisting with my siblings, a role that shaped my sense of duty and compassion. After high school, I moved to Muscat to pursue higher education. My parents provided unwavering support, instilling in me confidence, trust, and the guidance I needed to navigate life’s challenges.

Although my initial acceptance was into the College of Commerce and Economics, my true passion lay elsewhere. I worked diligently, achieving high scores that allowed me to transfer to the College of Medicine, seizing the opportunity to follow my dream. My journey took me to the United Kingdom, where I trained in surgery, specializing in liver and pancreas surgeries. Balancing my roles as a mother, a trainee, and the wife of a diplomat, I found strength in embracing the challenges and discovered joy in supporting my colleagues and students.
Healthcare Training Oman for Women Health
Throughout my career, I have gained invaluable experience in research, education, and clinical work, earning numerous awards along the way. My family, particularly my husband and my mother, have been pillars of support during the most challenging times. One of the hardest moments was leaving my two-month-old baby in Oman to continue my fellowship abroad. The guilt and pain were overwhelming, but my mother’s constant reassurance gave me the strength to carry on. Looking back, I realize that pushing myself beyond my limits was not the answer, and I would never encourage another mother to make that sacrifice. Upon returning to Oman after my training abroad, I felt an immense pride in being part of our healthcare system. With nine years of experience in the UK’s NHS, I can confidently say that Oman’s healthcare system is comparable, despite the complexity of involving multiple stakeholders. Our system provides trusted services and manages the treatment and care of our community effectively. Today, I am committed to collaborating with my colleagues to elevate the private healthcare sector and improve patient outcomes. My dream is to see Oman leading the region and the world in healthcare services, a vision that will be realized through the advancement of technology and digital innovation .
